Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
Mach have an exciting role for a H+S Officer to join our Birmingham based FMCG client. In this role you will use your expertise and skills to promote high standard HSE in a FMCG manufacturing environment and assist the HSE Manager in the delivery of HSE improvement programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the HSE Manager, to establish and promote an effective HSE management system
- Work with colleagues to continually improve HSE performance, providing advice and support
- Prepare risk assessments in relation to: Human Factors, COSHH, DSEAR, Manual Handling, Machine Safety, etc;
- Maintain a database ensuring timely completion of actions to reduce risks
- Assist with training and education of teams
- Review method statements and risk assessments provided by organisations
- Lead and co-ordinate HSE training, inspections, audits and incident investigations
- Take part in HSE meetings, train and coach safety representatives, produce tool box talks, briefings and reports for employees
Who are we looking for?
- Ideally from FMCG / manufacturing / logistics sector
- NEBOSH qualified
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
- Keen approach to being in factory and shop floor building relationships with the teams
Role: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
