Key responsibilities

  • Viewings and buyer engagement
    • Conduct property viewings across Edinburgh.
    • Present homes confidently, knowledgeably and professionally.
    • Understand each property’s key selling points, likely buyer profile and potential objections.
    • Build rapport with buyers while identifying genuine buying intent.
    • Qualify buyers by understanding their position, timescale, funding, chain status and motivation.
    • Encourage second viewings where appropriate.
    • Match buyers with other suitable Macgregor properties.
    • Provide clear post‑viewing feedback and buyer intelligence to the team.
  • Sales follow‑up
    • Follow up all viewings promptly and confidently, primarily by phone.

    • Handle common buyer objections and concerns.

    • Help ensure vendors feel informed, reassured and confident throughout the sales process.
  • Team support
    • Work with the wider team to ensure viewing diaries run smoothly.
    • Help coordinate part‑time viewing support where required.
    • Ensure viewing assistants are properly briefed on each property.
    • Keep the founder updated on serious buyer interest and urgent opportunities.
    • Assist with buyer outreach before and after property launches.

Essential requirements

  • Previous estate agency or direct sales experience.
  • Proven ability to follow up leads and convert interest into action.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Comfortable conducting viewings across Edinburgh.
