We’re looking for an energetic, organised, customer-focused Account Support professional to join our growing sales support team in Gateshead. This is not just an admin role. You’ll become a key part of a fast-paced international operation, working closely with customers, sales teams, technical experts, and colleagues across the globe to make sure customers receive outstanding service from enquiry through to delivery. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, managing orders from placement right through to delivery and invoicing and supporting with spare parts enquiries.
No two days are the same - and you’ll play a vital role in helping customers around the world keep their operations running smoothly.
More tasks and responsibilities:- Identify potential risks to on-time delivery and work cross-functionally to resolve challenges, ensuring we always deliver on our promises.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and act as their internal advocate to ensure a high-quality service experience.
- Log claims or complaints, identify root causes with the team, and contribute to continuous improvement and preventative actions.
- Support and mentor newer team members by sharing best practices and contributing to a positive, knowledge-sharing environment.
Reporting directly to the Customer Experience Team Leader. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gateshead, UK.
What you’ll need to succeed:You’ll thrive in this role if you are a natural organiser who enjoys keeping things on track and stays customer-focused and confident when communicating with people. You are proactive, solutions-driven, and able to remain calm under pressure while always taking ownership and following things through to completion. As a strong team player, you genuinely enjoy working collaboratively and feel comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, keeping things moving, and being the person who 'gets things done' - this could be the perfect role for you.
Ideally you have:- Experience in customer service, sales support, operations, or administration.
- Good IT skills including MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, ERP, or CRM systems (helpful but not essential).
- Experience in maritime, logistics, engineering, or industrial sectors is a bonus - but not required.
