We are recruiting for a Production Shift Manager role (static shifts) on behalf of an established and successful manufacturer and supplier of windows, doors and conservatories across the UK based in the Huddersfield/Bradford area of West Yorkshire.
Reporting to the site Production Manager and supported by shop floor based supervisors, you will manage a team of approximately 25, and all aspects of the production and quality.
- Managing production output, achieving daily production and quality targets
- Attend daily production & handover meetings, escalating any urgent orders and checking 1st & 2nd runs
- Planning daily schedules and reporting achievements / outputs and deviations
- H&S management, ensuring that the team are working safely and in line with SOPs
- Recruitment, training, staff performance reviews and returns to works as required
- Managing the training matrix, carryout regular reviews and arranging cross training
- Manage stock levels
- Review systems and processes to achieve continuous improvement
Skills, experience & qualifications:
- Previous Production Management experience with a fast paced fabrication / manufacturing environment is essential
- Specific experience within the window & door sector is highly desirable
- Excellent decision-making, problem solving and organisational skills
- Strong people, communication and motivation skills
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office
