MacGregor Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an independent supplier of windows and doors to trade who have a number of branches across the South East, and who have a great opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join their Crawley trade counter branch!

With a fantastic package on offer to the right person, in our opinion this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Window & Door Branch Assistant, Window Order Processor, an experienced Trade Counter Assistant or perhaps a Window Installer who is looking for an opportunity to get off the tools!

Assistant Manager role:

  • Working closely with the Branch Manager this is a hands-on role where you will be involved in all aspects of the branch operations.
  • You will build relationships with your customers, answer queries and deliver a great customer experience.
  • Process quotes and orders for windows and doors - training can be provided.
  • Make calls to customers to chase up quotes, update on their orders and to arrange collections or deliveries.
  • Contact potential customers to introduce your services and products.
  • Receive deliveries and store correctly in the warehouse and to prepare orders for customers (some heavy lifting).
  • Delivery driving of customer orders to site.
  • Deputising for the Branch Manager - opening and closing the branch, running the shift, cashing up and reporting the figures etc - training provided.

Skills & Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of windows and doors - or experience within the builders trade supply sector - is essential.
  • Flexible, proactive and a hands-on approach to help out across the branch operations.
  • Great people skills is the key to success - able to build and maintain great relationships with your trade customers.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.

The Package:

  • Basic £28k.
  • Uncapped bonus - giving an OTE of £36k a year.
  • 07.30-16.00 Monday to Friday - no Saturdays.
  • 28 days holiday a year, inclusive of statutory. This increases 1 day a year with service to a max of 33 days incl. statutory.
