Hours – 37.5 hours

We are seeking a Yard and Goods In Service & Hire. The successful candidate will maintain the general upkeep of the yard, checking equipment on the premises and loading/unloading of vehicles.

What you'll be doing:

  • Keeping the premises clean and tidy, cleaning down hire equipment ready for delivery.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Check over off hired equipment on their return and report any damages, fuel level and hours used to the hire desk.
  • Ensuring the yard is kept in an orderly and organised safe manner with attention to Health & Safety of customers and staff.
  • Dealing with the loading and off-loading of vehicles and checking that deliveries have the correct paperwork.

What we're looking for:

  • There will be a lot of outside working in the company's yard and will be physical at times.
  • Full UK driving licence – preferably clean licence.
  • Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
  • Be able to multitask as you will be required to unload or load a customer machine at any time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Good communicator and team player.
  • Organised and methodical.
