Warehouse Administrator in Inverness

Inverness | Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week

Looking for a role where organisation, accuracy and problem-solving really matter?

We're looking for a proactive and organised Warehouse Administrator to join our team in Inverness.

This isn't just a desk-based admin role. You'll be at the heart of our warehouse operation, helping us keep track of stock movements, deliveries, transfers and outstanding actions, and making sure that what our systems say is happening matches what is actually happening on the warehouse floor.

You'll work closely with our Warehouse Manager and colleagues across Logistics, Sales, Procurement and our branch network, helping us spot problems early and get them resolved.

What you'll be doing

• Your day will be varied and will include:
• Processing warehouse, Goods In and dispatch documentation.
• Monitoring stock transfers between Inverness and our branches.
• Following up outstanding or delayed stock movements.
• Helping investigate stock discrepancies and missing or incomplete transactions.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating our systems.
• Producing reports and maintaining trackers for the Warehouse Manager.
• Responding to queries from branches and other departments.
• Chasing outstanding actions and making sure they are followed through.
• Supporting stock counts and stock accuracy activity.
• Identifying recurring issues and helping us improve our warehouse processes.

What we're looking for

• You'll be someone who is naturally organised, enjoys getting to the bottom of a problem and isn't afraid to pick up the phone or speak to colleagues when something needs sorted.
• You’ll ideally have:
• Previous administration experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Confidence working with data and numerical information.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage several priorities at once.
• A proactive approach - if something doesn't look right, you'll investigate rather than simply move on.
• The confidence to follow up outstanding actions with colleagues.

Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, stock control, distribution or supply chain administration would be an advantage, as would experience using an ERP or warehouse management system, but this isn't essential if you have the right skills and attitude.
