Our Warehouse Operations Team in Inverness is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stock Replenishment Operative to ensure timely, accurate, and safe stock replenishment and rotation across all warehouse areas. This is a hands-on role involving physical stock movement, stock control, and coordination with warehouse and customer service teams. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock accessibility and supporting operational efficiency. Full training will be provided, and you will be supported every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Stock Replenishment and Rotation
- Replenish stock accurately and efficiently across all pick faces and storage zones.
- Conduct daily stock rotation to minimise spoilage.
- Maintain well organised storage locations, ensuring stock is easily accessible and safely stored.
- Stock Movement and Control
- Move goods between zones to balance stock levels and meet operational demands.
- Support bulk and seasonal stock movements as required.
- Assist with daily stock counts and inventory control ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Cleanliness and Safety
- Keep all stock zones tidy and organised to prevent safety hazards.
- Comply with manual handling and warehouse safety procedures.
- Report any damaged stock or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Team Support and Communication
- Support colleagues during peak periods and warehouse reorganisation.
- Assist other teams with stock location queries.
- Communicate clearly with stock control, goods in, and picking teams.
- Training and Development
- Demonstrate competence in using hand-held scanners and stock systems within probation period.
- Show accuracy in rotation and replenishment within probation period.
- Participate in ongoing warehouse process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Reliable and detail-focused with strong organisational skills.
- Physically fit and confident with manual handling tasks.
- Basic IT skills (stock system training provided).
- Good numeracy and literacy for stock labelling and recording.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and safety-conscious.
- Driving licence would be advantageous.
- Forklift licence would be advantageous, but training can be given.
- There may be a requirement to work in other branches across Scotland to support stock processes, which may involve overnight stays, branch location dependent.
