Location: Field based, covering MacGregor Industrial Supplies branches across an agreed region

At MacGregor Industrial Supplies, our branches are at the heart of the relationships we build with customers and communities. We’re looking for a hands‑on Regional Branch Manager to support and develop our branch teams, drive commercial performance and ensure customers receive a great experience wherever they visit us.
This is a varied, field‑based role for someone who enjoys being out in the business, working alongside teams and making things happen. You’ll spend approximately four days each week travelling between branches, coaching Branch Managers, improving standards and identifying opportunities for growth.
You’ll also provide practical branch management cover during holidays, absence or vacancies, helping to maintain continuity for colleagues and customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading, coaching and supporting Branch Managers across your region.
- Working with branch teams to achieve sales, margin and customer service objectives.
- Using your merchandising experience to improve displays, product presentation and the customer experience.
- Providing hands‑on management cover in branches when needed.
- Reviewing branch performance and agreeing practical actions for improvement.
- Supporting teams to build customer relationships, follow up opportunities and grow sales.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, stock control, housekeeping and branch presentation.
- Working with colleagues across Sales, Commercial, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and central support teams.
- Sharing ideas and good practice across the branch network.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a visible and approachable leader who can balance commercial results with strong operational standards and people development. You’ll bring:
- Experience leading and developing managers or teams in a branch, retail, trade, distribution or similar customer‑facing environment.
- Sales experience and a sound understanding of revenue, margin and customer relationships.
- Merchandising experience, including product displays and branch presentation.
- A practical approach to managing day‑to‑day operations and solving problems.
- An understanding of stock control and Health and Safety.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills.
- The confidence to step in and lead a branch when needed.
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel regularly, with overnight stays where required.
Experience managing multiple locations or working within industrial supplies, trade, wholesale or a related sector would be an advantage.
