Field & Workshop Service Technician (Compressor and Pressure Washers)
**Service Technician – Compressors & Pressure Washers****MacGregor Industrial Supplies****Location:** Inverness**Hours:** 37.5 hours per week**Vehicle provided for site work****Enjoy finding the fault and getting things working again?**Join MacGregor Industrial Supplies in a practical, varied role where your skills help keep our customers and hire fleet moving. Working both in the workshop and on customer sites, you’ll diagnose, service and repair compressors, pressure washers and other hire and customer equipment. From tracking down a fault to testing a completed repair, you’ll see the difference your work makes every day. In-house training will be provided, helping you build your product knowledge and develop your skills across our equipment range.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnostics, servicing, repairs and testing.
- Preparing equipment for customers through pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
- Identifying the parts needed and working with colleagues to organise repairs and customer quotes.
- Keeping customers, Parts and the Hire Desk informed about progress.
- Completing clear, accurate job tickets, timesheets and service records.
- Keeping your work area, tools and allocated vehicle safe and well maintained.
- Responding to urgent customer callouts during working hours and supporting other branches when required.
What you’ll bring
- Practical mechanical and/or electrical servicing and repair experience.
- A methodical approach to fault finding and a willingness to learn.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage your workload.
- A friendly, professional approach with customers and colleagues.
- A commitment to safe working and accurate record keeping.
- A full driving licence for travel to customer sites.
- Experience with compressors or pressure washers would be useful, but we welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills.
