At MacGregor Industrial Supplies, service isn’t just repairing equipment — it’s about keeping customers working and teams connected.
We are currently seeking a Workshop Technician to carry out a range of mechanical and electrical tasks including diagnostics, repairs, testing and servicing of Hire and Customer equipment, working mainly within established procedures
*Key Responsibilities *
* Diagnose faults, service, and repair equipment to Departmental and Company standards * Identify and order required parts, providing customer quotes if needed * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of franchise diagnostic software * Complete work efficiently and within time expectations * Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) * Comply with all health & safety policies and report hazards
*Skills & Experience:*
* Vocational qualification, e.g., HND/HNC, City & Guilds and/or SVQ Level 2/3 in relevant subject (or equivalent) * Experience in 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines, lawnmowers, Ground Care, Professional golf equipment and Quad bikes etc. preferred * Good mechanical and electrical knowledge and understanding * Full Valid Driving License * IT Literate and have good analytical and problem solving skills * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Responding to new pressures, adjusting priorities as needed * Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy and as part of a team * Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change
