Salary £65K Base plus benefits
Our Client is one of the largest wholesale partners for the distribution of goods to Retail Outlets, Cafes and Restaurants in the UK.
The successful candidate will oversee and ensure the smooth running of the transport operations teams across the UK. Lead on best practice and the continuous improvement of the operation. Reporting directly into the Operations Director. The role is based near North London and you will manage the 4 UK Sites remotely through a team of Operations Managers.
Key Duties:
- Managing financial, control analysis, evaluation and reporting
- Being responsible for the whole of the Transport Business encompassing both inbound and outbound operations
- Managing a total annual transport spend
- Developing annual transport plans and budgets
- Reviewing all aspects of the Transport Operation driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency
- Being responsible for a large fleet of vehicles
- Managing, planning and scheduling teams
- Improving network and strategy
- Planning, reviewing and communicating operational requirements and changes at a strategic level
- Developing strategies to optimize fleet and create innovative transport solutions
- Manage planning, solutions, costs and reporting
