Our Client provides integrated supply chain and distribution services across the UK.
Reporting into the Regional Manager, you will run the Local Express Distribution Centre.
Shifts: This is a 24/6 busy operation, hours will be dictated by the operation.
Key Duties:
- Manage the Business by leading from the front ensuring it is carried out in an effective, safe and professional manner.
- Proactively promote a culture of safe working practices and ensure all members of staff comply with H&S regulations.
- Act as key liaison between Customers and your teams with regards to any queries/complaints or issues arising during the day.
- Ensure KPI’s and service levels are consistently achieved by effective business planning and utilising staff available.
- Ability to motivate & instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, logical manner, ensuring compliance with contractual targets.
- Ability to work at pace.
- Checking and maintaining the warehouse and compliance with Health and Safety and company regulations.
Requirements:
- P&L / Budget Responsible, attention to detail/accuracy. Conscientious and reliable.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Adaptable approach to work/training.
- Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
- Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent.
- Able to work as part of a team or individually.
- Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a major distribution operation.
