MacGregor Black are looking for an aspiring and driven Technical Sales Executive to work in a vibrant and dynamic environment based from our Newcastle office.

Direct recruitment experience is not essential; however, drive, passion and integrity are. We are looking for professionals to further develop client relationships within our network, becoming an expert within the industry. Candidates with a commercial bias from a business to business or business to consumer channel would be of specific interest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and generate new business leads within your designated market or industry segment.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact through to successful negotiation and contract closure.
  • Monitor and analyse market activity, staying ahead of trends, competitor movements, and technological advancements.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by attending industry conferences, exhibitions, and client-facing events.
  • Build and maintain a robust, well-organized database of prospective and existing clients, candidates, and key contacts.
  • Engage regularly with key decision makers to uncover needs, present solutions, and expand client relationships.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted subject-matter expert by continuously growing your industry knowledge and delivering outstanding client service.
  • Uphold rigorous data accuracy and ensure CRM systems are consistently updated and maintained.
  • Set, track, and achieve strategic sales and outreach goals to create a strong and sustainable pipeline of future opportunities.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a target driven sales environment
  • Proven track record of success in a business development or account management role
  • Experience of operating from a CRM system, database integrity & management
  • Excellent listening, communication, presenting and customer service skills
  • Strong organisation, time management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Highly ambitious and resilient individual, with competitive drive
  • Able to self-manage and motivate
  • Aspirational to work in a true meritocracy with the ability to influence and control your own up-capped earning potential
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent
  • Ability to negotiate with external stakeholders & decision makers
  • Applicants with an industry background would be of particular interest

The Role:

  • Maintain and engage with the existing candidate database through regular update calls and relationship management.
  • Proactively attract top talent using a blend of job advertising, direct sourcing, referrals, and headhunting techniques.
  • Strengthen relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers to uncover recruitment opportunities and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Implement a structured business development approach, adapting outreach methods to consistently generate fresh leads.
  • Position yourself as a thought leader by researching industry trends and contributing insightful content to build credibility.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial brief to successful placement, ensuring a seamless candidate and client experience.
  • Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities by collaborating effectively with colleagues across different sectors or teams.
  • Keep all candidate and client information accurate and up to date within the CRM system, maintaining high data integrity.
