Are you an experienced operational leader with expertise across the full Supply Chain and manufacturing? Do you have a proven track record in building high performance teams within FMCG manufacturing? Are you able to demonstrate proven ability to build structure and process to facilitate rapid growth in output and turnover?

MacGregor Black is partnering with a FMCG business on the search for a Chief Operating Officer. This is a perm role based in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end to end operations across demand planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, production and co-packing.
  • Redesign and embed a best-in-class S&OP process across the business.
  • Implement tools, dashboards and reporting to improve forecasting accuracy and operational visibility.
  • Strengthen infrastructure and processes to ensure reliable supply, high service levels and better cross functional alignment.
  • Drive rigorous value engineering across the supply chain to improve gross margin.
  • Develop, optimise and scale co-manufacturing networks.
  • Maintain documentation, traceability, certifications and continuous improvement processes.
  • Lead packaging optimisation across materials, formats, artwork, sustainability and cost.
  • Establish clear KPIs, accountability, operating rhythms and performance management.
What We're Looking For:
  • 15+ years’ experience in FMCG operations background.
  • Track record of expanding and building manufacturing sites.
  • Experience with co-manufacturing, technical transfer and supplier optimisation.
  • Proven margin delivery and value-engineering track record.
  • Strong S&OP, ERP/systems, planning and operational governance experience.
  • Exposure to international operations (US experience advantageous).
  • Ability to lead teams, build capability and implement structure in scaling environments.
