Are you currently based within the M4 corridor (Reading–Bath area) and willing to travel regularly across Southern England and Wales? Do you have experience developing independent retail accounts such as toy specialists, garden centres, or similar retail channels?
This is a permanent role based in South of England. As the Territory Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of a defined geographic sales territory across Southern England and Wales. The role focuses on driving sales growth, strengthening relationships with existing retail partners, and identifying new opportunities to expand distribution.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing and developing a territory covering Southern England (primarily south of the M4 and M25) and Wales.
- Delivering and exceeding sales and profit targets in line with the company’s commercial strategy.
- Analysing the territory to optimise time, resources, and commercial opportunities.
- Developing relationships with independent retailers including toy specialists, garden centres, and visitor attractions.
- Identifying and opening new retail accounts based on opportunity and market potential.
- Supporting national retail accounts within the territory in collaboration with senior commercial colleagues.
- Driving product distribution and visibility across both existing and new product launches.
- Negotiating pricing, trading terms, promotional activity, and in-store support within company guidelines.
- Planning and executing structured weekly and monthly journey plans to maximise retail coverage.
- Preparing for customer meetings to ensure productive and commercially effective store visits.
- Ensuring strong in-store execution aligned with the brand’s merchandising and marketing standards.
- Managing promotional activity and reporting results and opportunities back to the wider business.
- Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience, ideally within a field-based or territory management role.
- Experience within consumer goods, toys, or a similar retail-driven sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and dynamics of the modern retail landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and grow accounts over time.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently within a territory.
- Results-driven with a strong focus on solutions and outcomes.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and persuade.
