I am working with a well-established, multi-site organisation undergoing a significant phase of finance transformation and capability building. As part of a wider evolution of the finance function, they are now hiring a Head of FP&A to lead all aspects of commercial finance, insight, forecasting and performance management. This is a high-impact role sitting close to the Finance Director and wider leadership team, responsible for turning financial data into meaningful insight that drives decision-making, performance improvement and strategic direction.
The Role
- You will lead the FP&A and commercial finance agenda across the business, building a best-in-class insight function that supports both operational and strategic decision-making.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Development of high-quality financial models and scenario planning capability
- Delivery of clear, actionable insight to support commercial and operational decisions
- Performance analysis across revenue, margin, cost base and investment decisions
- Development of KPI frameworks and management reporting that drives accountability
- Business partnering with operational and functional leaders across the organisation
- Support for investment cases, strategic initiatives and capital allocation decisions
- Continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy, planning processes and analytical tools
- Collaboration with Financial Control to ensure consistency between actuals and forecast
- Contribution to wider finance transformation and improved decision-support capability
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, strategy and operations. You will bring:
- Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering leadership roles
- Experience building or improving forecasting, budgeting and planning processes
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insight
- Strong modelling capability and analytical skillset
- Experience working in a multi-site or complex operational environment
- Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and non-finance leaders
- Track record of improving decision-making through better financial insight
