Are you experienced in driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced distribution environment? Do you have extensive experience in operational management within food or beverage distribution? MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG business on the search for a Warehouse General Manager. This is a perm role based in Northampton.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution of food and FMCG products.
- Ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining supply chain efficiency.
- Monitoring inventory levels, tracking shipments, and ensuring proper handling and storage conditions of food and FMCG products.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Conducting regular training sessions to improve skills and maintain team motivation.
- Coordinating and optimising transportation routes, working closely with drivers and external transport providers.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics management within the food or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of managing logistics teams and transportation operations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers and external transport services.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Salary – c £60k + car allowance + bonus
