Are you a hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their established Engineering team.
Working within a busy production environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining processing lines, production equipment, hacking lines and packing machinery, ensuring maximum plant availability and minimising downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain and support processing lines, production lines, hacking lines and packing machinery.
- Fault find across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all engineering work meets Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Technician.
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, processing, packaging or another fast-paced production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
- PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic experience would be advantageous.
- Recognised engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
