Are you a multi-skilled Engineering Technician with experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments? Do you enjoy fault finding, planned maintenance, and improving line performance on modern, high-speed production lines? MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business on the search for an Engineering Technician. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Milton Keynes, operating on a continental shift pattern, within a highly automated production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with engineering schedules, recommending improvements where efficiencies can be maximised.
  • Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime across high-speed production lines.
  • Support line performance through analysis of efficiency, waste, and downtime data, contributing to continuous improvement activity.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance, ensuring all work is carried out in line with site and legislative requirements.
  • Produce clear and accurate engineering documentation, including downtime reports and line logbooks.
  • Consult manufacturers’ manuals and mechanical drawings to identify correct replacement parts and support effective repairs.
  • Support operational requirements by operating machinery when required to ensure efficient team working.
What We're Looking For:
  • City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a multi-skilled engineering role within FMCG, food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environments (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, breakdown response, and planned maintenance processes.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies.
