MacGregor Black are proudly partnering with a leading Apparel and Footwear business to appoint a Managing Director .

This is a critical leadership role with full P&L ownership for UK & Europe, responsible for driving profitable growth , brand development and organisational capability through an established business as well as the successful launch of new territories. The successful candidate will bring a true omnichannel mindset , combining strategic vision with hands‑on execution, and will lead the business through its next phase of scale and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the overall business strategy for Europe with full P&L accountability , driving sustainable profitability
• Lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing senior leadership team
• Drive top‑line growth and margin improvement across wholesale, DTC, e-commerce and retail channels
• Lead the opening and scaling of new international and key European markets , building robust go‑to‑market strategies
• Strengthen brand positioning and product‑market alignment across international and key European regions
• Oversee operational excellence across supply chain, sourcing, inventory and cost control
• Build scalable structures, processes and culture to support international and key European growth
• Act as a key partner to shareholders and the board, providing clear commercial and financial insight
• Represent the business externally with key partners, customers and stakeholders

What We\’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Managing Director, General Manager or senior commercial leader
• Strong background within sporting goods, apparel or fashion environments
• Demonstrated track record of driving profitable growth , not just revenue expansion
• Hands‑on experience opening and scaling new international and key European markets
• True omnichannel expertise , with deep understanding of wholesale, distributor and digital ecosystems
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and margin management
• Experience leading transformation, change and business evolution
• Inspirational people leader with a modern, values‑led leadership style
