MacGregor Black is partnering with an engineering service business on the search for a Procurement Buyer. This is a perm role based in Bedford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Researching, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to secure favourable prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Processing requisitions, placing orders, and monitoring the full purchasing lifecycle to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and working with warehouse and stores teams to avoid shortages or excess stock, with consideration for Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Adhering to budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings or cost avoidance.
  • Ensuring products meet UCC standards and coordinating with internal teams to maintain reporting systems and data.
What We're Looking For:
  • CIPs level 2 (or above) desirable.
  • Direct and / or indirect experience (you will cover both).
  • Ability to build a robust procurement function.
  • Strong people collaboration.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Results driven.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
