Are you an experienced Logistics leader within the FMCG industry? Do you have a proven track record of managing inbound logistics operations and 3PL distribution networks? Are you experienced in international freight and transportation within a fast paced and high volume industry? MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer brand on the search for an Inbound Logistics Manager. This is a Perm role based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for international shipments, including inbound movements and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, import/export documentation, and customs requirements across all regions.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with supply chain partners and logistics service providers, aiming to maximise cost savings and service quality.
- Implement cost-effective strategies and negotiate terms to achieve financial targets without compromising service levels.
- Work closely with the suppliers to align logistics strategies with business goals and production timelines.
- Support new market entries and product launches by establishing logistics processes and distribution strategies for each region.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise risks in the logistics operations.
- Establish and track KPIs for supplier performance, generating reports to present to senior management.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in inbound logistics, preferably consumer goods industry.
- Experience managing international supply chains.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS, CILT) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, customs regulations, import/export procedures, and transportation management.
- Resilient and change focused, with ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
