Can you demonstrate a track record of leading and developing a high-performing sales team while remaining hands-on with key customers? Are you confident in owning a sales P&L, driving commercial strategy, and delivering sustainable revenue growth in a fast-paced, growing business?

Macgregor Black are partnering with a growing toy brand on the search for a Head of Sales. This is a permanent role based in London. As the Head of Sales, you will take full ownership of the UK sales function for a fast-growing toy business. You will lead a team of five and continue to manage several major UK retail accounts directly. This is a role for a commercially driven leader who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on account management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow key UK retail accounts across grocery, specialist toy, online, and high-street channels, leading negotiations, JBPs, seasonal planning, and range reviews while building strong relationships with buyers and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive revenue and category growth through new listings, increased shelf presence, enhanced promotional execution, and data-led category insights.
  • Develop and execute the UK sales strategy, identifying new channel opportunities, informing pricing and margin decisions, and contributing to annual budgets, three-year plans, and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer trends, and market insights to shape commercial decision-making and ensure the business remains competitive and responsive to changing retail landscapes.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to support launch execution, optimise stock flow and forecasting accuracy, and deliver effective retailer-specific campaigns.
  • Own the UK sales P&L, delivering accurate reporting and forecasting, assessing promotional ROI and rate-of-sale performance, and ensuring all commercial decisions support profitable, sustainable growth.
