MacGregor Black is proud to partner with a fast-growing, premium spirits business in the search for a Commercial Director. This is a permanent role, based in London. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a founderāled organisation entering its next phase of growth. The role will sit at the heart of the business, taking ownership of the UK commercial strategy while helping to build the structure, capability, and foundations required to support future international expansion.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and deliver the UK commercial strategy across multiple channels, with a focus on growth and profitability.
- Drive new business development through routeātoāmarket partners and distributor networks.
- Strengthen presence within National Accounts, with particular focus on Grocery and National Groups.
- Manage and grow key customer relationships across major grocery and specialist retail accounts.
- Lead and develop a small Londonābased sales team, providing structure, direction, and support.
- Take ownership of commercial budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Build and manage annual budgets aligned to strategic priorities.
- Work closely with the Founder on longāterm commercial planning aligned to a 3ā5 year roadmap.
- Support international growth initiatives, with exposure to Europe and North America.
- Proven senior sales or commercial leadership experience within the spirits category.
- Strong understanding of premium brand positioning and routeātoāmarket strategy.
- Experience working within both larger, structured drinks businesses and founderāled or entrepreneurial brands.
- Demonstrable success in business development and distributorāled growth models.
- Experience managing Grocery accounts and National Groups.
- Strong commercial acumen with confidence owning budgets and P&L responsibility.
- Track record of building relationships across the UK drinks industry.
- International exposure or experience supporting growth outside the UK is advantageous.
- A dynamic, communicative leader comfortable working closely with founders and senior stakeholders.
