MacGregor Black are partnering with a growing and operationally complex business to appoint an experienced IT Manager to lead technology operations, infrastructure, cyber security, and digital transformation across the organisation. This is a highly visible leadership role, combining strategic ownership with hands-on operational delivery.
The successful individual will take accountability for the organisation’s end-to-end IT function, ensuring systems, infrastructure, cyber security, and business applications are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned to wider commercial and operational objectives. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the company’s digital roadmap, driving continuous improvement across systems, data, automation, and technology capability.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and deliver the organisation’s digital and IT strategy
- Translate business objectives into practical technology roadmaps and delivery plans
- Lead transformation initiatives across systems, data, automation, and integration
- Drive digital adoption and process improvement across the business
- Own the availability, performance, resilience, and scalability of IT infrastructure
- Ensure infrastructure remains secure, modern, and fit for operational demand
- Lead incident management, disaster recovery, and major outage response
- Oversee cloud, network, endpoint, and infrastructure environments
- Act as system owner for core business systems including ERP platforms
- Manage system integrations, upgrades, development, and vendor relationships
- Ensure systems support operational efficiency, data accuracy, and business performance
- Own cyber security strategy, controls, and compliance readiness
- Lead initiatives across SOC, endpoint security, identity management, backups, and risk mitigation
- Maintain visibility across technical risk, cyber exposure, and operational resilience
- Ensure high-quality IT support and service delivery across the organisation
- Drive continuous improvement across user experience, response times, and IT reliability
- Lead, mentor, and develop the wider IT team
- Set clear objectives, accountability, and direction across the department
- Own IT budgets, forecasting, and cost management
- Build business cases for technology investment and transformation initiatives
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships to maximise value and service delivery
- Proven experience leading IT operations and digital transformation within a complex business environment
- Strong background across infrastructure, cyber security, business systems, and operational technology
- Experience managing suppliers, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of systems integration, operational resilience, and technology governance
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and problem solving
- Infrastructure, cloud, and networking expertise
- Cyber security and risk management capability
- ERP systems and business application ownership experience
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Data governance and reporting understanding

- Fresh Produce or manufacturing industry experience
- Lean qualification or continuous improvement exposure
