Do you have experience strategically partnering with operational leaders in a fast-paced, multi-site environment? Can you demonstrate success leading complex organisational change, restructures or TUPE programmes? Are you an influential HR professional capable of challenging senior stakeholders and translating people strategy into commercial results?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation on the search for an HR Business Partner. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Leicester, with regular travel across operational and customer locations. This is a strategic partnering position, working closely with senior operational leaders, you will shape and implement the people agenda, lead business-critical change and ensure people priorities directly support operational and commercial performance. You will operate as a trusted adviser and influential member of the leadership team, while working collaboratively with specialist HR teams across Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Reward and Shared Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner senior operational leaders to develop and implement commercially focused people plans.
  • Provide constructive challenge, coaching and strategic HR advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the people workstreams associated with restructures, organisational change, new business and operational transformation.
  • Support complex TUPE, employee relations and industrial relations activity.
  • Build effective relationships with Trade Unions, employee forums and local colleague committees.
  • Use workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop succession plans, strengthen talent pipelines and improve leadership capability.
  • Drive engagement, performance management and organisational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver joined-up people solutions.
  • Contribute to new-business tenders and customer-facing activity from a people perspective.
  • Ensure policies and processes remain commercially appropriate, legally compliant and practical for an operational environment.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify HR processes and improve service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Significant experience operating in a strategic HR Business Partner or senior HR management role.
  • Experience supporting a complex, fast-paced and operationally led workforce.
  • A strong track record of leading organisational change, restructures and ideally TUPE programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and complex employee relations.
  • Experience engaging with Trade Unions and managing industrial relations matters.
  • The credibility to coach, challenge and influence senior operational leaders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how people decisions affect operational and financial performance.
  • Confidence using data and workforce metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Experience working within an HR Business Partner and Centre of Excellence model.
  • Logistics, supply chain, distribution or similarly complex multi-site experience would be highly advantageous.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
