Are you an experienced operational excellence leader with a strong background in manufacturing performance and KPI governance? Are you passionate about building a Zero Loss culture and driving fact-based decision making across multi-site operations? Are you motivated by embedding world-class continuous improvement systems in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment?
MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading manufacturing business on the search for a Head of Operations Excellence & Performance. This is a permanent role based in the UK, with responsibility across a multi-site manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and evolve the Group-level Operations KPI framework, ensuring clear, reliable and business-aligned performance dashboards across Industrial and CS&L functions.
- Lead day-to-day KPI tracking, analysis and root cause investigation, enabling fact-based performance dialogues with site leadership teams.
- Define and drive the Zero Loss Culture strategy, embedding TPM, Lean and OPEX methodologies across the manufacturing network.
- Build and deliver multi-tiered capability and leadership programmes that strengthen continuous improvement behaviours at all levels.
- Partner with Finance and IT to strengthen data architecture, automation and system integration (MES, ERP, WMS), ensuring data integrity.
- Identify, develop and deploy best practices and breakthrough improvements across plants, spanning processes, technologies and ways of working.
- Support COO-level governance by ensuring alignment between Industrial Master Plan initiatives and Group strategy, tracking delivery and benefits realisation.
- Experience progressive operational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Background in fast-paced, high-compliance industries such as FMCG, pharmaceuticals or chemicals.
- BSc in Engineering or a related scientific discipline (preferred).
- Proven experience designing and embedding manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement systems across multi-site operations.
- Strong track record of delivering measurable results across productivity, quality, cost, safety and waste reduction.
- Highly capable change leader, able to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of new processes and systems.
- Confident communicator, comfortable leading fact-based performance dialogues with senior site leadership teams.
Salary Circa £110k + benefits package.
