Are you an experienced multi-site engineering manager with a fast-paced manufacturing background? Do you have expertise in manufacturing excellence and large-scale capital project management and want to join a leading manufacturing business with fantastic career opportunities? MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading manufacturing business on the search for a Head of Engineering. This is a permanent role based in North of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and organisation of the engineering personnel to ensure that the business receives the maximum resource to support its operations.
- Working within budgeted expenditure limits through good planning and cost control.
- Pursue and demand high levels of workmanship and a zero-defect performance level as the only acceptable standard in all areas.
- Preparing reports to meet the company requirements.
- Continuously drive improvement initiatives to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
- Develop a world-class maintenance organisation by continually improving OEE of all production sites, addressing quality issues through technical solutions and improving the standards of maintenance workmanship.
- Lead on all large-scale capital projects.
What we’re looking for
- HND or BSc in an Engineering discipline.
- Multi-site engineering leadership experience; with exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.
- Efficiency in delivering objectives and key measures.
- A personal commitment to role-model behaviours and to leadership and management through example.
- Knowledge of SAP and other IT systems.
