Are you confident shaping and delivering change projects while keeping people engagement and values-led leadership at the heart of everything you do? How did you balance commercial priorities with maintaining employee engagement and trust?” MacGregor Black is partnering with a multi-site, people-driven organisation in the search for a Head of Business Partnering . This is a permanent, hybrid role, open to candidates across the UK. As Head of Business Partnering , you’ll lead a team of experienced HR Business Partners to deliver a proactive, commercially aligned people agenda that supports business growth and organisational effectiveness. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you’ll ensure HR is both a strategic enabler and a visible, operationally grounded partner. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the HR Business Partnering function to deliver consistent, high-impact support across all divisions. Partner with senior leadership to shape people strategies that drive performance, engagement and long-term capability. Act as a strategic advisor on organisational design, workforce planning and succession management. Champion employee engagement and cultural alignment, embedding a values-led approach across the organisation. Oversee and support complex ER matters, ensuring compliance, fairness and effective risk management. Lead and support major change programmes, including TUPE, restructures, and transformation projects. Use HR data and analytics to measure impact, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions. Coach, mentor and develop regional HR teams to build capability, consistency and confidence across all sites. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices, ensuring alignment with both Group objectives and operational realities. What We’re Looking For: Extensive experience in a senior HR Business Partnering or equivalent leadership role. Proven success partnering with senior operational leaders to deliver impactful, commercially focused HR solutions. Strong understanding of UK employment law and experience managing complex ER and unionised environments. Experienced in leading change programmes, including restructures, TUPE and organisational transformation. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with hands-on operational delivery. Credible and influential communicator, skilled in stakeholder management and relationship building. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead HR teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and excellence. Analytical and data-literate, using insight to drive decision-making and performance improvement. Resilient, pragmatic and values-driven, with a genuine commitment to people and purpose.
