Do you thrive in a cross-functional role, collaborating with sales, marketing, and supply chain to deliver successful product launches?

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a leading consumer goods business to recruit a commercially focused Product Manager. This is a permanent opportunity, operating on a hybrid basis, based in Surrey. This role will play a pivotal part in driving product strategy, innovation, and lifecycle management across a dynamic and growing portfolio. You will combine strong commercial awareness with hands-on product management capability, working cross-functionally to identify opportunities, launch new products, and optimise existing ranges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse product sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for new product development, range extensions, and portfolio optimisation.
  • Develop and present business cases for new product initiatives, including costings, pricing strategy, margin expectations, and sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive product innovation, including reformulations and new product introductions.
  • Identify and onboard third-party manufacturers and suppliers to introduce complementary product ranges, including drop-ship solutions.
  • Support commercial teams in managing the full product lifecycle, including range reviews, SKU rationalisation, and product discontinuations.
  • Own product set-up and administration across business systems, ensuring accurate SKU creation, product documentation, and asset management.
  • Work cross-functionally with planning, production, operations, and warehousing teams to ensure readiness for product launches.
  • Partner with marketing to define product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies, including packaging, labelling, and campaign assets.
  • Support the development of compelling product propositions aligned to customer needs and brand positioning.
  • Manage ongoing product requirements, including documentation updates, labelling changes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate demand forecasting, ensuring alignment with promotional and marketing activity.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for product information systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy of product data across all channels.
  • Maintain comprehensive product documentation to support successful product launches and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Support pricing strategy and margin analysis in partnership with commercial, marketing, and finance teams.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a product management or similar role, ideally within consumer goods or a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with systems, data, and product information management tools.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage workloads independently while contributing to wider team objectives.
