About the Role
Our client is a global multi brand consumer goods group with strong momentum across UK and international markets. They are now seeking a Fractional Finance Director to provide strategic financial direction, sharpen commercial decision making, and enhance the operational performance of the UK business. The role is based in London and it will be for one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial oversight of the UK business, ensuring the P&L and balance sheet accurately reflect performance and support scaling activity.
- Strengthen cost discipline by identifying savings opportunities, reviewing spending priorities, and improving financial efficiency across teams.
- Translate financial insight into clear commercial actions that support profitable growth and brand investment decisions.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and structured development for a junior member of the finance team, helping them elevate reporting capability and confidence.
- Enhance financial control frameworks and governance to support a multi brand, fast moving consumer environment.
- Partner with the leadership team on forecasting, scenario planning, and longer term financial modelling to inform strategic choices.
- Ensure risk management, capital allocation, and resource planning are aligned to the company’s international growth plans.
What We’re Looking For
- Senior finance leadership experience within an FMCG or consumer goods organisation.
- Strong track record overseeing P&L and balance sheet ownership with proven ability to improve cost efficiency and financial clarity.
- Adept at working fractionally or in an advisory capacity while remaining embedded enough to drive meaningful change.
- Experience coaching or developing junior finance professionals.
- Comfortable working in a multi brand, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior leaders with confidence and credibility.
