Are you a technically strong finance professional who enjoys owning core financial reporting processes end to end? Do you have experience producing management accounts and statutory reporting within a consumer or multi-channel business? Are you looking for a role where accuracy control and process improvement are genuinely valued?
Macgregor Black are partnering with a fast growing SME Consumer Goods Brand to hire a Financial Reporting Analyst as part of a newly strengthened finance function. This role will take ownership of core financial reporting activities while supporting leadership with timely and reliable information. The business operates across retail, wholesale and ecommerce channels creating both complexity and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting analysis and commentary
- Deliver flash reporting to support trading updates and decision making
- Own VAT compliance including returns and reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register including depreciation and disposals
- Manage lease accounting in line with applicable accounting standard
- Support year end processes and liaison with external advisors
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy controls and close timelines
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience within consumer goods, retail or product led environments preferred
- Hands on mindset suited to an SME business
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
