MacGregor Black is partnering with a market-leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Director. This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial strategy and drive operational excellence at a large-scale, state-of-the-art manufacturing site.
As the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the company’s financial strategy, leading a team of finance professionals and partnering with senior leaders to deliver sustainable growth. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role within a business experiencing exciting growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide visionary financial leadership to drive both short- and long-term strategic goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, providing critical financial insights and business recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Champion financial literacy across the organisation to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Drive financial performance by identifying cost efficiencies, mitigating risks, and maximising opportunities across operations.
- Implement and enhance robust financial controls and processes to support scalability and transparency.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, funding strategies, and financial risk mitigation.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimise working capital and liquidity, ensuring the business is positioned for sustainable growth.
- Support investment decisions related to CAPEX, product innovation, and operational expansion.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally as Finance Director, CFO, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated success in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and treasury management.
- Track record of leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge, influence, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced financial modelling.
