Fashion Designers – Menswear & Womenswear
Are you a trend-led designer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment?

MacGregor Black is currently working with a global fashion group on the search for multiple Fashion Designers across menswear and womenswear, based in Manchester.
These are hands-on, fast-moving roles designing full collections with clear brand identity and strong consumer relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design commercial, trend-led collections across either menswear (streetwear, smart casual, activewear) or womenswear (partywear, smart casual, trend-led)
- Create detailed CADs, tech packs, and design specs to hand over to development
- Work closely with buying, merchandising, and production to ensure alignment across fit, margin, and timing
- React quickly to fast-moving trends, creating capsule drops and repeatable bestsellers
- Conduct ongoing trend research, competitor analysis, and seasonal forecasting
- Present collections internally with clear rationale across look, feel, and function
- Manage multiple briefs simultaneously under tight timelines and deliverables
- Contribute to brand identity and visual consistency across collections
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–8+ years of fashion design experience in fast fashion, e-commerce, or high street environments
- Strong CAD and Adobe Illustrator skills, with experience creating full tech packs
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and fit processes
- Strong sense of trend forecasting and commercial styling
- Highly organised, with the ability to deliver against multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- A portfolio that shows both creative flair and commercial awareness
