Fashion Designers – Menswear & Womenswear

MacGregor Black is currently working with a global fashion group on the search for multiple Fashion Designers across menswear and womenswear, based in Manchester.

These are hands-on, fast-moving roles designing full collections with clear brand identity and strong consumer relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design commercial, trend-led collections across either menswear (streetwear, smart casual, activewear) or womenswear (partywear, smart casual, trend-led)
  • Create detailed CADs, tech packs, and design specs to hand over to development
  • Work closely with buying, merchandising, and production to ensure alignment across fit, margin, and timing
  • React quickly to fast-moving trends, creating capsule drops and repeatable bestsellers
  • Conduct ongoing trend research, competitor analysis, and seasonal forecasting
  • Present collections internally with clear rationale across look, feel, and function
  • Manage multiple briefs simultaneously under tight timelines and deliverables
  • Contribute to brand identity and visual consistency across collections

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–8+ years of fashion design experience in fast fashion, e-commerce, or high street environments
  • Strong CAD and Adobe Illustrator skills, with experience creating full tech packs
  • Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and fit processes
  • Strong sense of trend forecasting and commercial styling
  • Highly organised, with the ability to deliver against multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • A portfolio that shows both creative flair and commercial awareness
