MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading drinks FMCG business to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager. This is a high-impact commercial role responsible for developing and growing business across European markets, with a strong focus on new business acquisition alongside key account management.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of customers while actively identifying and converting new opportunities across key channels. This is an ideal role for a commercial “hunter” with strong KAM foundations, looking to operate in a broader international remit.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across European markets
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline, converting leads into long-term commercial partnerships
- Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and customer pitches
- Represent the business at trade shows, events, and customer meetings
- Manage and grow key customer relationships across multiple markets
- Deliver against revenue, volume, and profitability targets
- Build and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to customer and company objectives
- Identify opportunities to expand distribution, range, and visibility
- Manage P&L performance across accounts, including pricing, margin, and forecasting
- Use data and insight to drive decision-making and performance improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams
You will work with a broad range of OOH and multi-site customers, including:
- Wholesale and cash & carry
- On-trade (pubs, bars, hospitality groups)
- Travel and leisure operators
- Multi-site retail environments
- Proven experience within drinks FMCG (essential)
- Strong track record in business development and key account management
- Experience working with wholesale, on-trade, or multi-site customers
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
- Commercially astute with experience managing P&L, pricing, and margin
- Confident in leading negotiations, tenders, and customer presentations
- Highly proactive, with a strong hunter mindset
- Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple priorities
