MacGregor Black is proud to be partnering with an ambitious and growing consumer goods company on the search for an Ecommerce & Marketplaces Manager. Based in Portsmouth, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape and scale an exciting omnichannel digital commerce strategy across direct-to-consumer, pureplay marketplaces, and high-growth platforms like TikTok Shop.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day trading, performance, and optimisation of the brand’s Shopify website, Amazon (Vendor & Seller Central) accounts, and TikTok Shop presence.
- Develop and execute ecommerce growth strategies across D2C, Amazon, TikTok, and key omnichannel retail partners like Very and JD Williams.
- Write engaging, on-brand product descriptions and marketing copy for multiple channels, ensuring consistency in tone and customer relevance.
- Plan, brief, and manage promotional calendars in line with trading goals across all platforms.
- Own key performance reporting across all digital channels—delivering actionable insights, commercial recommendations, and regular performance presentations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with digital marketing, brand, supply chain and customer service teams to ensure a seamless online customer journey from discovery to post-purchase.
- Monitor and manage Amazon advertising and promotional activity to ensure spend efficiency and ROI.
- Work with third-party agencies and internal stakeholders to optimise performance through content, conversion rate optimisation, and customer retention initiatives.
- Stay ahead of marketplace trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging tools to continuously evolve the online strategy.
- Proven experience managing eCommerce and marketplace platforms—Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, Shopify, TikTok Shop ideally.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of growing online sales and managing multiple revenue channels.
- Excellent written skills—able to craft persuasive product copy and digital content that drives conversion.
- Highly analytical with experience in performance reporting, data visualisation, and confident presenting to leadership teams.
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and managing a fast-moving digital trading calendar.
- A hands-on, proactive mindset with strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Previous experience in consumer goods, FMCG or a fast-paced branded environment is highly desirable.
