MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a fast-growing consumer goods business to recruit an E-Commerce Paid Search & Google Shopping Executive. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role located in County Durham.
The E-Commerce Paid Search & Google Shopping Executive will take ownership of paid media activity across search, shopping, paid social, and marketplaces, reporting into the Head of Sales & Marketing. Operating within a performance-led FMCG environment, this role will play a key part in driving brand visibility, customer acquisition, and ROI across multiple digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:- Performance Marketing Ownership: Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Google Shopping, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and selected marketplaces.
- Budget & ROI Management: Manage media budgets to maximise ROAS, CAC efficiency, and overall return on investment, adjusting spend in line with performance and market conditions.
- Testing & Experimentation: Lead keyword research, audience targeting, and structured A/B testing across creatives, formats, and messaging.
- Creative Optimisation: Partner closely with creative teams to develop and refine performance-led assets while maintaining brand consistency.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: Track and analyse core performance metrics including CTR, CPA, ROAS, CAC, and conversion rates to inform continuous optimisation.
- Insight & Reporting: Work with data and analytics teams to build dashboards, interpret performance trends, and share actionable insights with stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with wider marketing, digital, and data teams to support acquisition, retention, and lifetime value initiatives.
- Platform & Trend Leadership: Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry trends, translating developments into clear paid media strategies.
- Strong hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns.
- Proven experience across Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, and paid social platforms.
- Experience running paid media for third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or B&Q.
- 5+ years’ experience in performance marketing, ideally within FMCG, retail, or eCommerce.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear commercial actions.
- Demonstrated success scaling campaigns and delivering measurable ROI.
- Strong understanding of conversion funnels, attribution models, and customer segmentation.
- Experience building and executing structured testing and optimisation frameworks.
