Production Coordinator in Doncaster

MacGregor Black is partnering with a global manufacturer of technical protective clothing on the search for a Production Coordinator based in Doncaster, UK, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a business built on a reputation for safety-critical, high-performance garments used by professionals across more than 80 countries. The Production Coordinator will sit at the centre of the manufacturing operation, working across international factory partners, raw material suppliers and internal product teams to keep production on track from critical path through to delivery. Supplier relationships sit at the heart of this role this is as much a people role as a process one, and success depends on building trust and getting the best out of partners under pressure, not just chasing dates on a tracker.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end manufacturing process across multiple product categories, international partners and raw material supply chains
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers to drive performance, quality and on-time delivery
• Act as a key point of contact for manufacturing partners, managing the relationship day to day as well as the transaction
• Support the Director of Manufacturing in executing strategic projects and quarterly sprints
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality and Operations teams
• Support onboarding of new manufacturing and supply chain partners
• Chase accurate delivery dates against raised POs and maintain delivery trackers
• Manage weekly manufacturer and supply chain partner meetings, including agendas and follow-up actions
• Assist with submitting and chasing bulk raw material orders in line with critical path
• Keep technical packs updated with production changes and prepare prototype sampling packs, including BOM and technical information
• Support sourcing of substitute fabrics and trims, coordinating testing and certification

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years' experience in apparel production, sourcing or manufacturing coordination
• Proven experience working with international manufacturing partners and complex supply chains
• A natural relationship-builder someone who gets genuine satisfaction from managing people and partnerships, not just processes
• Background in PPE, technical workwear or performance clothing an advantage, not essential
• Strong communication skills, confident managing difficult conversations with suppliers under time pressure
• Strong analytical skills, able to interpret production, forecasting and performance data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
• Highly organised and proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in contributing to a values-led, growth-focused brand
