This is a commercially focused role, working closely with Category, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and Data teams to ensure pricing decisions are well informed, commercially effective and aligned with wider trading objectives. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing pricing capability, improving the use of data and analytics, and helping the business build a more structured and consistent approach to pricing and promotions.

The Role

  • Develop and manage pricing and promotional strategies across key categories.
  • Work closely with Category and Commercial teams on pricing, promotions and key value items.
  • Partner with Finance to understand margin impact, forecast changes and model different pricing scenarios.
  • Use data and commercial insight to identify pricing opportunities and support trading decisions.
  • Work with Data, Analytics and BI teams to improve pricing reporting, tools and performance measurement.
  • Consider product availability and supply chain implications when developing promotional activity.
  • Support the development of pricing capability across the wider team, including coaching and mentoring Pricing Analysts.
  • Establish consistent pricing review processes and help embed a stronger pricing culture.
  • Represent pricing within wider commercial and trading meetings.
  • Support the implementation of new pricing tools, systems and processes.
  • Develop more sophisticated approaches to pricing effectiveness, including elasticity analysis and promotional ROI.

About You

We are looking for an experienced pricing or commercial analytics professional who is comfortable operating in a complex, highly commercial environment. You are likely to have:

  • 7+ years' experience within pricing, commercial analytics, revenue management or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience working within retail, FMCG, food & drink, consumer goods or another high-volume commercial environment.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience working across multiple functions and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of pricing, promotions, margin, customer behaviour and commercial performance.
  • Experience with pricing analytics, elasticity, promotional effectiveness or revenue optimisation would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing analysts would be beneficial.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science or another quantitative discipline would be advantageous.
