An established global brand in the juvenile products category is seeking a Managing Director to lead a strategic brand relaunch. This role will re-establish the brand as a leading player in the premium baby category and drive sustainable, profitable growth across international markets.
Reporting from the London-based Brand HQ, the MD will have full accountability for commercial performance, marketing leadership, and organisational build-out, while key operational functions (product development, operations, finance, etc.) remain at Group level. This is a strategic and entrepreneurial role, requiring the ability to balance brand vision with commercial execution, lead high-performing teams, and deliver an outstanding customer experience globally.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and execute the global sales strategy across markets, channels, and customer segments.
- Build, lead, and scale the global sales organisation.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with leading premium retailers and partners.
- Oversee D2C e-commerce strategy and performance.
- Define and lead global brand positioning, ensuring consistency and relevance across all markets.
- Shape and drive the global marketing strategy, from both consumer and trade perspectives.
- Lead global marketing activation across all digital and physical touchpoints.
- Full P&L responsibility, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.
- Establish, build, and scale the Sales and Marketing organisation, starting with a small core team and expanding as required.
- Set up the UK legal entity, including banking, payroll, and office infrastructure.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the Group.
- Collaborate closely with Group HQ on product design, category strategy, and market-specific requirements, ensuring alignment with overall brand positioning.
- Proven senior leadership experience (CEO, MD, Brand MD, Founder) in juvenile products, ideally with exposure to premium brands.
- A start-up mindset, comfortable with high operational involvement and building structures from scratch.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Ability to build and lead a small, high-performing team, fostering an accountable, results-oriented culture.
- Excellent relationship management skills with internal stakeholders and commercial partners.
- Highly adaptable, pragmatic, and hands-on.
- Internationally minded, capable of balancing strategic vision with operational execution.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
