Our client is an established and highly recognisable brand with a strong market presence across multiple international territories. With continued investment and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a commercially minded finance leader to play a key role in supporting the next phase of expansion.

Reporting into senior leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control, reporting, compliance and business partnering activities across the UK and European operations, overseeing a regional turnover of approximately £50m-£60m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, creating a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Deliver robust financial controls, governance and compliance across multiple European entities.
  • Partner with commercial, operations and supply chain teams to support strategic decision making and business performance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across the region.
  • Drive process improvements, systems optimisation and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Support senior leadership with insightful financial analysis and performance reporting.
  • Manage statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Ensure working capital, cash flow and balance sheet management remain a key focus area.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting future growth initiatives, operational efficiencies and business scalability.
What Are We Looking For?
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
  • Previous experience operating at Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent level.
  • Strong people leadership experience with a proven ability to develop, mentor and retain high-performing teams.
  • Experience within consumer products, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, product-led or related environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, compliance and governance.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience operating within a multi-site, international or European business environment would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, hands-on and comfortable operating in a dynamic growth environment.
  • Strong systems and process improvement mindset.
