Macgregor Black are partnering with a well-established toy brand on the search for an Area Sales Manager. This is a permanent remote role.

As the Area Sales Manager, you willmanage and grow sales across a diverse portfolio of independent retail customers. This role focuses on independent stores, toy specialists, and garden centres, working with established accounts while developing new business opportunities.

This is a field-based role, ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and proven success within consumer goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop sales across a defined Southern territory (majority being South West)
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with independent retailers, toy specialists, and garden centres.
  • Drive sales growth through effective account management, range reviews, and new product introductions.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Plan and execute regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate terms, promotions, and in-store activity to maximise sell-through.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Accurately forecast sales and report on territory performance.
  • Represent the brand professionally at trade shows and industry events when required.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Proven field sales experience within consumer goods (toy industry experience highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of independent retail environments
  • Experience selling to toy stores, specialist retailers, or garden centres is an advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
  • Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset
  • Full UK driving license
