The Driver Role
This is a full-time role, working Monday-Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 (30 mins for lunch), at our Gottlieb Packaging site in Trafford Park, Manchester. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver who will also take on warehouse duties as required. You will be working in a small team and usually driving an 18 tonne vehicle (Class 2) vehicle with the necessary licence. You must also be willing and able to undertake warehouse duties when required and ideally hold a current Counter-Balance FLT licence. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for transporting goods to various locations but will also assist with warehouse tasks.
Driver – duties:
- To usually drive 18 tonne company vehicle (curtain-sider) to deliver to customers or collect from suppliers as required (Northwest only)
- To comply with daily van checks and weekly records as required
- To be compliant with all CPC and Tacho requirements as above
- To deal with company, customer & supplier paperwork relating to goods.
- To liaise with office and sales staff as required
Warehouse – duties (when driving not required):
- The maintenance of warehouse in line with health & safety
- To load/unload vans using pallet truck and fork truck
- To clean vans
