Role: Sous Chef
Pay: £14 - £16 per hour + tronc

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our busy beachfront restaurant and talented Kitchen Team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, maintaining exceptional food standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen.
- Leading and supervising the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
- Preparing and overseeing the production of high-quality dishes.
- Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
- Training, mentoring, and supporting junior members of the kitchen team.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Working closely with the Head Chef to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie looking to progress.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy kitchen.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of best practices for food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Passion for delivering outstanding food and maintaining high standards.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.
