Senior Building Surveyor required to provide surveyor and project delivery building surveying services.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing feasibility studies and recommendations.
  • Scoping, estimating and presenting reports.
  • Undertaking surveys, design and specification services.
  • Respecting and helping deliver services in accordance with best practice (and all legislation) in relation to asbestos, health and safety etc.
  • Preparing a timely and effective post contract administration and final account agreement.
  • Taking personal responsibility for service delivery.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Working with senior surveyors, associate directors and directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database.
  • Assisting with new technology for data capture and reporting.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the consultancy business of Mace across all sectors.

You’ll need to have:

  • Previous building surveying experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Technical knowledge and competency in building surveying.
  • Good negotiation, presentation and report writing skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • A degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
  • Professional memberships i.e. MRICS/RICS.
