Opportunity to work within a life sciences programme, delivering critical national infrastructure for a central government client. We are looking for a Project Manager to support in the delivery of secured projects within the programme of works. In the next year we will be supporting our client to deliver an increase in volume of works in construction compared to previous years, with construction starting on new infrastructure network upgrades.
Please note: This role will be based on our client’s site in Weybridge, Surrey three days per week and Moorgate, London. The successful candidate will be required to pass both BPSS and SC clearance.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Managing project delivery from inception to completion, maintaining quality and milestones.
- Directing the project manager responsible for the project delivery, reporting into the client.
- Managing project budgets and change management to maintain control over forecast outturn cost against budget.
- Maintaining live risks registers and leading regular reviews with the wider team.
- Managing design teams, consultants, and stakeholders, driving collaboration and service excellence.
- Contracting administration of contractors and consultants in accordance with their contracts.
- Fostering inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation while upholding Mace values.
- Overseeing budgets, risks, and change management, maintaining accurate plans and documentation.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
- Extensive public‑sector project and programme delivery experience.
- Strong commercial, financial and stakeholder management capability.
- Extensive project delivery experience.
- Proven experience in new build delivery.
- Experience across new and existing infrastructure is desirable.
