You will be responsible for:
- Lead the development of social value strategies and plan(s) on the project, including agreeing and assuring project outcomes and ensuring their delivery by the project team.
- Deliver programme of strategic social value initiatives such as Skills and Employment Forums and implementation of client community fund.
- Support delivery of, and update as necessary, the Sustainability Strategy document and Environmental and Social Appraisals for the programme.
- Delivering social value consultancy services, working collaboratively with the client and their Technical Authority to drive improved performance and maximise outcomes.
- Working with and leading supply chains and delivery partners to develop social value KPIs, handbooks, and reporting mechanisms to embed social value and sustainability requirements and support project delivery.
- Co-ordinate regular sustainability and social value reporting, including using Power BI and client social value reporting tool(s).
- Contribute social value inputs to support Business Case generation and client Social Benefit Annual Report.
- Attending client meetings and project review meetings to report outputs, issues, and risks.
- Establishing strong, positive relationships with the client, identifying opportunities for further work and support.
- Potential management of Assistant Managers within the social value team.
- Writing bid submissions and representing the social value team in bid presentations.
- Supporting the development of the social value service offer across the business, including marketing/branding material and case studies.
- Delivering social value training to the client teams and relevant stakeholders within Mace.
- Supporting the delivery of Mace’s Grow Together strategy and Value to Society targets.
- Identifying best practice and successes and producing written reports, case studies and communications to assist with celebrating success and sharing best practice and lessons learnt to support continuous improvement in client and Mace social value performance.
- Any other ad hoc social value duties as required dependent upon client and business needs.
You will need to have:
- Degree in Social Sciences, Geography, or related subject.
- Fellow of (or actively working towards Fellow) Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) or similar.
