The Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of allocated packages, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivering value for money. You will work as part of the Construction Delivery team, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
- Collate tender documentation and administer tenders.
- Establish cost control systems and administer client and subcontract changes.
- Provide risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
- Mitigate risks and protect package/project margin.
- Enhance profit through value engineering and cost reduction measures.
- Prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
- Operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team and support net zero carbon transition.
You’ll Need To Have
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Professional membership (RICS / ICES / MCIOB) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Strong commercial management experience on major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent knowledge of contract administration and cost management.
